Just wonderful. I've never thought how Angel got from rat-eating desperation to the character we know, but you've captured it perfectly. Not just a training montage of weakness to strength. Angelus is still there and there are back-sliding moments. I'd have to quote half the chapter to list all the things I like but I particularly like the glimpses of arrogant pride at what he used to be able to do compared to where he's at now.
