I'm happy to know you are still enjoying this. It is fun for me, too, to have a reason to go back and read bits of it.
I enjoyed writing this Spike and playing with some of the fanon ideas about turning and siring and what a vampire is. Spike had a reputation and we saw how ruthless he could be in canon. Stories where he is a big softy can be fun, but I love writing him as a vampire with emotions that are real, but are not the same as human ones.
