Oh, sneaky Spike. That plan almost worked, which is better than most of his plans, that's for sure. I get the feeling that Angel wanted it to work, which probably helped because once he threw Xander off, he sobered up quick enough. The drug seemed more excuse than actually controlling his behavior. And Angel... you aren't too quick to jump to Xander's defense here, are you. It's like he's so worn down he doesn't care, and I think Spike knows it.
