*g* I sort of see Giles as a convert to the Watcher's Council, after his youthful abandonment of it. As if his relationship with it was a bit like the relationship some people have with religion - brought up in it from a child, lapsing away in his teens, but returning later. And having gone back, he had to accept everything they taught. *g* But once a rebel, always a rebel at heart. I could continue the metaphor to the end of the series, but I'll refrain.
