I really liked your progression from regular canon with Buffy and Willow, to altered canon with Xander's phone call then transitioning fully into the world of your story and finishing with Wesley. My hat's off to you.
Too bad Buffy doesn't remember how badly Willow pulling a carpe diem went. Things are about to get ugly in Buffy world.
"it was like we were just friends." ripped my guts out! Willow is so vital to Xander that's got to be devastating. Like he's had his legs cut out from under him. And in typical Xander fashion he blames himself.
I have to wonder, does he feel like he doesn't have a home to go back to? Another excellent chapter.
