This is a very clever chapter. You cover such a lot of canon ground without ever taking the focus away from Xander and it works beautifully. After the initial paragraph, you suck us in to reliving Xander's day in such lovely detail. I love his people watching in the cafe and then his conversation with Giles - it's a measure of how deep the trust has become that Xander can speak candidly, if not comfortably about his sexuality with Giles. And Xander's worry about Giles' happiness is funny and touching and ultimately heart-breaking as the last section kicks us firmly in the gut about Jenny's death and Giles' grief.

Well done, hon. You're right to be pleased with this chapter, it's just terrific.
