The Friday Five
Feb. 18th, 2017 09:24 amThere is no doubt this community comes up with a variety of questions. This week we are going medical *g*
1. Do you take any daily prescription medications?
No. Thankfully I am pretty healthy and have so far avoided such a need.
2. Do you take any daily OTC (over the counter) medications?
Again, no, not daily. I have mild hay fever and occasionally take antihistamines in the summer, just to stop my eyes stinging, but that is all.
3. Do you take vitamins?
Not daily, mostly because I forget to buy them. I take Vitamin C when I think I might be getting a cold and because I know I don't eat enough fresh fruit and veg, although I know they are not an infallible (or even a very effective) prophylactic. But I like the taste *g*
4. When you are sick, do you take OTC remedies or immediately go to your doctor?
The only time I go to the doctors' is to see the nurse for my scheduled smear test. I can't actually remember the last time I was sick, other than getting a cold and really there is nothing a doctor can do for that. OTC Cold Relief tends to reduce the symptoms and then it is just a matter of waiting it out. Having said that, however, I do hope I haven't jinxed myself. Oops!
5. Do you take aspirin?
And again, no. I don't like to take medicines if I don't have to and would rather suffer through a headache than take aspirin. I don't think I would feel the same if I got bad headaches or migraines, though. I have a friend who suffers terribly from migraines and hate seeing it and being unable to do anything to help.
Well, that was fun. I suppose I ought to go and start on my weekend tasks, now. I hope you are all having an enjoyable Saturday. *wanders off making a mental list of things to do*
