Heads up...
Jan. 24th, 2009 07:32 am...to UK flisties.
Being Human is starting a series run of 6 episodes on BBC3 tomorrow.
If you didn't see the pilot last February, we are talking about another pretty, angst filled vampire, a very cute werewolf, plus a really engaging, neurotic ghost.
I just watched it again and it had a wonderfully witty script. Unfortunately, only the cute werewolf is the same actor, so I don't know how the series will pan out, but on the strength of last year, it is certainly worth a look.
The original cast.

Annie had a wonderful accent and Mitchell was full of pretentious hesitation, while George was as enthusiastic as the puppy Mitchell teased him for being.
So, anyway, George is still the same actor, but these are the new Annie and Mitchell. It looks like they've gone for the traditionally beautiful with Annie. I bet she had a mid-Atlantic accent. I'm not sure about Mitchell, but he doesn't look like he has the same wasted junkie air to him.
But, I'm still looking forward to seeing what they do with the idea.

Date: 2009-01-24 11:36 am (UTC)Thanks for the links. I didn't think to go look there. I miss Annie's accent; it was wonderfully whiny, brilliant for those 'duh!' looks she gave them, but maybe I'll love the new actors too, with what they bring.
