...to UK flisties.

Being Human is starting a series run of 6 episodes on BBC3 tomorrow.

If you didn't see the pilot last February, we are talking about another pretty, angst filled vampire, a very cute werewolf, plus a really engaging, neurotic ghost.

I just watched it again and it had a wonderfully witty script. Unfortunately, only the cute werewolf is the same actor, so I don't know how the series will pan out, but on the strength of last year, it is certainly worth a look.

The original cast.

Annie had a wonderful accent and Mitchell was full of pretentious hesitation, while George was as enthusiastic as the puppy Mitchell teased him for being.

So, anyway, George is still the same actor, but these are the new Annie and Mitchell. It looks like they've gone for the traditionally beautiful with Annie. I bet she had a mid-Atlantic accent. I'm not sure about Mitchell, but he doesn't look like he has the same wasted junkie air to him.

But, I'm still looking forward to seeing what they do with the idea.

I'll be curious to see what you think. I really enjoyed the pilot, and am trying to reserve judgment on the series. But all three of them had such wonderful chemistry together... so I worry about the cast changes.

They did have a great chemistry, didn't they? [livejournal.com profile] quinara pointed at some videos on the BBC website, and it looks like we will get more back story, but the slashiness isn't there in what they've posted. We'll see. Hopefully it will be as good.

It's a bit of a shame about the new cast, but I'm still so excited!! The website has some great videos up. Annie's accent isn't as strong, but it's definitely not mid-Atlantic. And Mitchell's Irish now.

I know. And yes, so am I. I sent my first ever email to the BBC after the pilot, asking when the rest would be on. I didn't realise it was a one-off.
Thanks for the links. I didn't think to go look there. I miss Annie's accent; it was wonderfully whiny, brilliant for those 'duh!' looks she gave them, but maybe I'll love the new actors too, with what they bring.

I'm disappointed they changed the actors, but it's bookmarked to watch because the pilot showed promise.

We'll find out tomorrow, I guess, if it lives up to the promise.

I'm disappointed they changed the actors too. I liked the original Mitchell.

Shall watch, though.

So did I; he looked like he was strung out on something, and talked like a university student putting the world to rights at 2am. *g* And he delivered the slashy lines so beautifully.
